Windows Security Software

Longtime criticised for his poor security, Microsoft made Windows 8 with built-in security software, called Windows Defender regarded as very bad protection due to his poor performances and protection against free anti-virus. Microsoft Defender used to be at the bottom of the list to protect your computer. After Windows 8 Microsoft decided to tackle the problem with
Windows 10. And finally, Bill Gates got it right! It has all the functionalities and offers real-time protection against malware. It runs automatically until you install a third-party anti-virus software then Windows Defender switches to disable mode.

Along with Firewall & network protection, App & browser control and Family options, as far as the anti-virus goes it does a pretty good job. if you want to protect your family from adult contents the feature “Family Options” will take you to an unintuitive interface with a lot of scratching head, in my opinion, you would do a better job of keeping your kids safe online with third-party software, such as Net Nanny or Qustodio free of charge.

Scan For Viruses

Like any other anti-virus, Windows 10 security scan and removes the threat from your machine. It offers good protection for your computer. And for a deep clean the option offline scan removes the toughest virus once for all.

Ransomware protection

This option is disabled, it should be activated ASAP. It protects your pictures, documents, or any folder from being encrypted by hackers.

Firewall Rules and Child Protection

This option is disabled

Run a Health Check

Like any other anti-virus, Windows 10 security scan and removes the threat from your machine.

However, before you hurry to switch on your built-in protection from Microsoft keep in mind subscribing for security software such as Kaspersky, Norton, Bitdefender…
give much more feature than Windows Security.
